A Starfighter in my universe. Shadowhawks are known for their survivability encasing the pilot in armor akin to that of a tank. Their ability to protect their pilots increases performance and the morale of their operators. They have no windows but rather sensors which relay information to screens within the command module. So no Im not too lazy to model a cockpit.

I used 3D Max for it. Its definately my favourite software. Not like Ive really gone in depth with many others though.

I Imagine that extended battlefield data could be jammed but the sesors that give the pilot basic vision of the surroundings are essentially advanced cameras placed all over the ship and connot actually be "jammed" really. If it should come to pass that there is a malfunction the capital ship could guide them to safety. The lack of FTL capability requires one's preasence. And if that gets destroyed... well.. the poor pilot's got alot more to worry about.

Try maya. thats wayy harder. Max is a just a matter of learning tutorials. well at least that how I did it. 3Dcafe.com and 3Dtotal.com have plethoras of such learning goodies.
